2007 Seoul Design Fair

Accessories in my dreaming house

In my opinions, art can divided into two kinds, one is the real art, which is provided for the artists to appreciate, and the other is for the person who likes me to decorate us and our lives. Focusing on the “2007 Seoul Design Fair“, I would like to imagine I was a fortunate woman, who’s going to buy some fabulous accessories to decorate my house with my husband and son/daughter. As what I’ve said before, I am so “fortunate” that means I needn’t worry about the price and can buy anything I like.

Okay let’s follow my imagination to built my dreaming house though this exhibition, by the way, I will focus on illuminations (lights) in the followings.

The first impression which will give the guests is living-room, and all of us know how important it is. I would like to choose this one for my house. Firstly, it’s a amber light, which makes the room looks more elegant and softer. Secondly, the green glass is an outstanding detail. It looks like raindrop, and at the same time, likes the ancient noble women’s head, with a lot of green agate…… Everyone enjoys imaging ourselves as a noble, so let’s fly your imagination in our living-room!

The living-room’s design is the mixture of the western and eastern, however, my dining-room will be totally in Chinese style, likes this one~ It’s obviously that they are original form Chinese lanterns. Usually we will use red lanterns in some festivals, and right here, it’s been changed into three gentle lights, which makes me feel comfortable. And it reminds me of my Chinese family and friends. No matter where I am in the future, I can miss my own country and have delicious food with it. It will be in good atmosphere.

In addition, I’d like to use this kind of dishware to fit for my Chinese and classical dining-room. It’s in gold color and the print on it is maybe mume flower or pine. No matter which one it is, it’s still so attractive to me. When I use them, maybe I am not just a noble; I am an emperor in my dreaming castle.

Then, I’d like to introduce my child’s room to you. My favorite choice is –

It’s a light which makes people feel like living in the nature. You can see roost around the lamp. Even though you can not see a bird’s decoration, it’s a beautiful butterfly flying around it. It also has several feathers on the roost. In this kind of situation, we couldn’t see the real bird, but we can feel it strongly. And the things which are below the roost make the light looks like a wind-bell. Now, close your eyes, and a picture that you are laying on the lawn and enjoying the twitter and breeze will come up to your mind naturally. Since we are always busy and can not bring our children outside everyday, so why don’t let them fall in love with nature first in his or her nice bedroom?

It’s my bedroom’s turn, now.

I would like to choose two of them for being the decorations of our bedroom.

This is the first one, I think I can describe it in several simple worlds: alluring, enthusiastic and love. I wish our love can like this light: full of enthusiasm.

But as all known, love is not so simple to be equal to enthusiasm, sometimes we need disimpassioned and clam life. At that time, we need another light, it’s—

I really appreciate the idea which came from tulip. There are so many flowers in the world, but it’s right about tulip, which fits for the light well. It’s so artless and elegant. Especially the white ones, they are the deputation of pure and chasteness~

I am going to show you our bathroom. What the bathroom needs it’s right about this one: a little angle who is flying above the lotus leaf and holding the lamp. When you are having a shower with it, you will forget all your worrying and enjoy yourself with this little angle. Let’s have fun and relax yourself!

The last one is our studio, I don’t know why I stick myself to this light. I am not an artist or a writer, but no matter what I will become in the future, I believe that our body gives us the original energy. When I am looking at this lamp, I will feel power and hopeful. That’s why I choose it for our studio.
